It is this Thursday, May 28, 2021 that the representative of Unicef in Haiti, Bruno Maes, proceeded to the induction of the two artists elected goodwill ambassadors of Unicef in Haiti. Jean Jean Roosevelt throughout his 14-year career in the fourth art has always given great importance to the values that are at the heart of the actions of UNICEF namely benevolence, respect and integrity.
The owner of the label Tchyaka Haiti productions advocates for the protection, participation and quality education for all children. In 2017, with the support of this institution, he had produced an album entitled: “Jean Jean des Petits, let’s form the citizens of tomorrow”, always with the aim of highlighting the importance of education for children growing up whether in schools, families or in our communities.
The Jeremian has always advocated for women. It is not without reason that during the month of March 2020, he had launched the project called “Violence against women, let’s talk about it between men” whose main objective was to sensitize young boys on this theme and to push them to take the commitment to become artisans of non-violence. After all, they are the men of tomorrow. This awareness of their role, their contribution for a better tomorrow, a new society where the rights of each “Man-Woman” are respected, is the real engine of this initiative of the gold medalist of the VIIth games of the Francophonie.
During the period of confinement in the spring of 2020, the streaming concerts rained. Jean Jean was the only artist to have organized a show dedicated to children and mounted with them. The One Love Concert, an adaptation in Creole of Bob Marley’s iconic music and international hit featuring the Enfants épanouis d’Haïti (ENEPH).
The star has had other collaborations with UNICEF in the past including projects on awareness against the coronavirus and environmental issues including sustainable water management and other projects related to children’s rights.
